Description
Due to non payment by the previous buyer on E Bay,I am relisting the unit. For sale is a rare Western Electric remote amplifier used for recording or broadcast remotes. It has no model label but I believe it is a 22D model. The transformers (All Western Electric) are dated 1946 as well as some of the capacitors. The microphone inputs are changed to 3 contact XLR type connectors. It has four microphone inputs. The ouptut Z of the unit is switchable from 150 ohm to 600 ohm.The unit is in good physical conditons and includes the two cases for the Amplifier and the 110vac power supply. The unit is missing the battery compartment and the battey cord and plug used to operate from two 4FAH (3.2v) and four 5308 (45v) Burgess Batteries. The input transformer is a Western Electric 285N and the output transformer is a Western Electric 178B transformer. The unit calls for 6J7 Tubes but we used 1620 RCA low noise tubes instead of the 6J7's. It will be supplied with 2 extra 1620 tubes and 1 ea 6F6 tube. No spare 80 rectifier tube will be supplied.Complete with carrying cases and power supply.
