Description
Installed in Baltic Recording studio January 2004, one owner. John Oram is one of the legends in the industry in over 40 years going back to Vox amps in the 60´sTrident consoles etc. He has always been designing with the outmost sonic qualities in mind, and the BEQ series 24 is his best analog console design to this day. The console has a fantastic headroom, it is ultra quiet and it’s bandwidth exceeding 5-75khz widnes the incredible punch this console has. The 24 bus structure makes it very flexible to work on, both for recording and mix summing where the 24 busses can act as subgroups with upper channel faders. Apart from the analog beauty of the console, this is a 48 frame/32 channel custom version with JL-Cooper DAW control and computer screen mounted in the sweet spot right next to the master section. Upper Input module: Peak Light Comes on 6 dB below clipping. Mic/Line/Sub Master Input Select. Sub Direct Output Buss master level control. Trim Controls Dual inputs for Mic and line. Phase Reverse and +48v Phantom Power Switchable for every channel. LEDs LEDs on every submaster assign switch. Sub Master / Tape Return Selection Tape return/Submaster section can get its signal from Mic, Line/ Tape return when not in Submaster mode. This means another set of inputs with EQ and Auxiliary send access. Sub Master / AUX / EQ Flip Sends whatever is in the tape return / Submaster section through the Main channel EQ section and one half of the Aux sends. Sub Master / Tape Return Fader Flip Swaps the function of the short (60 mm) fader and the long (100 mm) fader in all modes. Sub Master / Tape Return Pan Control Pot assigns whatever is the Tape return / Submaster section to the L + R stereo Buss. Sub Master / Tape Return 2 And Band EQ 2 band EQ Magic™ Sub Master / Tape Return Fader 60 mm fader. Sub Master / Tape Return LEDs 5 segment LED ladder for visual level indication. Sub / Tape Return L - R Buss Enable Connects this section (10) to the L-R Main Buss. Sub / Tape Return Solo Sends this section (10) to the Solo Buss. Lower Input module: Aux Sends Ten Aux sends per channel, 6 mono, 2 stereo, all switchable pre or post. EQ Selection Very musical sounding EQ Magictm; High and Low dual turnover shelves switchable at 7kHz & 12 kHz and 50Hz & 150Hz, two sweepable midbands from 150Hz to 2000Hz and from 1500Hz to 15kHz, a fixed High Cut at 9kHz, and a sweepable Low Cut from 5Hz to 200Hz. EQ In / Out EQ in or out with LED indicator. Pan Control Pan pot for Main channel. Noise Gate A noise gate on every channel. The gate follows the main 100mm fader. Auto Mute Assignable group mute function. Mute / Gate Indicator and switch. Solo Solo is AFL/SIP. Master section ( lower ) The lower master section features, 10 Aux returns on 60 mm faders and a 3 way matrix for Aux sends, allowing upto 30 FX devices to be contected a one time. Left and Right mix buss, together with a Mono output, as well as a sub-bass (150Hz) output. 2 way communication system and headphone output External Power supply, stand and meterbridge + a set of spare channels.
